Concert in the Park

The Charleston Symphony Orchestra will be back again this year for a free Concert in Smythe Park on May 17. Mark your calendar and plan your picnic, because you won't want to miss this event. The picnic judging starts at 6:30pm and the concert begins at 7:30pm. Prizes will be awarded for the most elaborate and creative picnic spreads. For those who don't want to pack a picnic, food will be available for purchase. Ted's Butcherblock will be offering a multitude of items for sale including beer, wine by the bottle and the glass, hot sandwiches and a selection of gourmet-to-go items to add to guest's picnic menus. Tasty treats from Mr. Koolie will also be available for sale. Be sure to catch the spectacular fireworks display after the concert! Be sure to come early for a good spot.
Sundown on the Wando
Be sure to come out for the final "Sundown on the Wando", Daniel Island's riverfront, Friday after work music concert of the season. So spread the word and invite your on and off island friends, neighbors, relatives and co-workers. June 6th is the final one this year and will be held at Children's Park, located at the end of River Landing Drive. The fun starts at 5:00 pm with outstanding food and beverage catered by Dog and Duck Food and Spirits, Chick-Fil-A, and Moo-na Lisa. Also at 5:00 themed kid's activities will take place in the center of Children's Park like the mini duck drop decorating and race! Then at 6:00, get ready to catch the breezes off the river and listen and dance to the Motown sounds of Heart and Soul.
